Introducing our “Most Efficient Route” Service

We have a new service that I’m very, very excited to introduce, which allows both consumers and REALTORS to map out the most efficient route between properties. We’ve been using it internally and I’ve been blown away by how useful it is. It’s integrated into our MLS search tool, www.TheBestHomeSearchEver.com.

For any REALTORS out there who have ever tried figuring out which properties to show in which order (and of course, that is all of us), this tool takes all the guess work out of the process. Here’s how to use it:

As a consumer: Just run a home search as you normally would. When your results list pops up, you can “checkmark” all the properties you’d like to have mapped. Then just hit “Find most efficient route for selected properties” and you’ll get a pop-up page asking you to enter your starting location. Once you’ve done that, hit “calculate directions” and it will route the properties for you on a map and include directions. You can easily print this out and take it with you. You are also invited to borrow one of our free GPS machines to guide you around!

As a REALTOR: You probably already have a list of MLS numbers of the properties you’d like to see. If so, great! Just enter this list in the “MLS#” input box on www.TheBestHomeSearchEver.com and it will return your selected properties. Then, select them all by choosing “select all” and follow the steps above! Our agents have been using this tool with clients and have found it a real time saver and stress reliever, and you never end up zig zagging across town when you shouldn’t. There’s nothing worse than a client asking, “weren’t we just in this area several properties ago?!”

We are absolutely looking to license this tool as a branded service to other real estate firms. If you’re interested in having us brand this tool with your real estate company’s logo, please let us know. Right now the integration with the MLS system only works with the DC area’s ‘MRIS’ service, but the map routing works nation-wide (i.e., outside the DC area you would have to type the entire address in, not just the MLS number). I’m sure we could tightly integrate it to your MLS system if desired.
