How can I get the MLS numbers to put in a spreadsheet?

Monday, July 23rd, 2007

If you'd like to be able to manipulate our data yourself, we don't mind. In fact, in the spirit of empowering you with data, we make it easy for you to get the MLS numbers of properties you're interested in. Here's how:

1) Do a search on www.TheBestHomeSearchEver.com

2) When you get a list of results, hit the "Email these search results to a friend" link just above the search results. Here's a screenshot of what that link looks like:

3) In the pop-up, at the very bottom, you'll see a link that says "View MLS Numbers". Here's what the pop-up looks like:

4) That will give you a comma delimited list of MLS numbers. Enjoy!

What does a ratified contract look like?

Monday, July 23rd, 2007

Here is a sample Virginia sales contract, which has been ratified & passed through the fax machine several times: DROdio - Sample Ratified Agreement

You'll notice that several items were negotiated back & forth between the buyers & sellers - you will notice the initials in several places where compromises were made.

On this contract, we negotiated a price approximately $30k less than the asking price, plus the conveyance of several items. Not a bad deal!
