How can I get the MLS numbers to put in a spreadsheet?

Posted on Monday, July 23rd, 2007 at 11:03 pm.

If you'd like to be able to manipulate our data yourself, we don't mind. In fact, in the spirit of empowering you with data, we make it easy for you to get the MLS numbers of properties you're interested in. Here's how:

1) Do a search on www.TheBestHomeSearchEver.com

2) When you get a list of results, hit the "Email these search results to a friend" link just above the search results. Here's a screenshot of what that link looks like:

3) In the pop-up, at the very bottom, you'll see a link that says "View MLS Numbers". Here's what the pop-up looks like:

4) That will give you a comma delimited list of MLS numbers. Enjoy!

Thanks for the tip Daniel. I find that downloading quite a bit of info from the MLS is the easiest way for me to do an accurate analysis on the market. It allows me to get rid of the mistakes and bogus data.
