Landover is home to the corporate headquarters of the Giant supermarket chain and FedEx Field, home of the Washington Redskins, and was also home to the now-demolished US Airways Arena (originally known as the Capital Centre), formerly used for major concerts, professional basketball and hockey games, and where the cult-classic video documentary Heavy Metal Parking Lot was filmed. The community is also known for its heavy use of Go-Go music. The Prince Georges County Sports and Learning Complex is in Landover.
