Landover, MD is an area of Prince George's County in the State of Maryland. Landover is home to the corporate headquarters of the Giant supermarket chain and FedEx Field, home of the Washington Redskins, and was also home to the now-demolished US Airways Arena (originally known as the Capital Centre), formerly used for major concerts, professional basketball and hockey games, and where the cult-classic video documentary Heavy Metal Parking Lot was filmed. The community is also known for its heavy use of Go-Go music. The Prince Georges County Sports and Learning Complex is in Landover.
