Laytonsville is a small municipality located in beautiful Montgomery County, Maryland, about 25 miles north of the White House.

The town has more of a small town, rural character than nearby Olney, Maryland. There are a number of tracts of farmland on the outskirts, as well as numerous McMansion homes on large plots of land. There are also protected areas around Laytonsville, such as the Rachel Carson Greenway.
